    Rockfish restaurant, celebrated chef Mitch Tonks takes over from Mark Hix 16 years in situ to open this fantastic seafood restaurant with the best views in Lyme overlooking The Cobb. Sustainably caught beautifully cooked seafood. Plus, a surprising in-restaurant fishmonger ordering system for seafood straight to your door.

    ‘SWIM’ is a modern, cool, energetic bar & restaurant, with far reaching views out to sea. Great cocktails, brunches and craft beers. Burgers are up there!! Something for everyone! Next to sandy beach.

    Strawberry Tree, fab Spanish tapas, family run by Giselle (chef) & Ed, wonderful authentic dishes freshly cooked which transport you straight to Andalusia.     Poco Pizza

     Poco Pizza is a lovely small, friendly restaurant overlooking the beach that prides itself on serving authentic wood-fired Italian pizza, they are very good! Best to book in busy times. Open all year, check days.

    The Town Mill Bakery also serves up fantastic breakfasts usually until 2pm! Wonderful sourdough to the most scrumptious cakes & buns. Packing a punchy amount of ingredients into their salads, breakfasts & brunches. Awesome vegan & veggie options. Walk up! Open all year, check timings.

    Fennel Tapas

    Fennel Tapas a lovely home cooked tapas pop up restaurant with casual seating and a few tables, lovely food, open only Thursday to Saturday, booking required. In situ top of Broad Street for 2025 only.

    Kiosk

    Kiosk is a wonderful hole-in-the-wall style café located right on the beachfront. Offering organic coffee and nutritiously well-known delicious bagels, it’s the perfect spot to grab a deck-chair and munch away whilst looking over the bay! (Our fave for a post-sea swim treat!)

Best Daytime Takeaway

Red Panda

Red Panda (our favourite). Bao buns, incredible salads, great quality Asian dishes, their crunchy chilli oil is the best! Bring back to your stay / eat by the sea (mind the seagulls!). Open all year, check winter timings.

The Ship Inn, Lyme Regis Brewery & The Volunteer

The Ship Inn, Coombe Street has great local beers, a wooden skittle alley and is run by a lovely chap who used to be in a band called The Carnaby's. Lyme Regis Brewery, locally brewed, awesomely cool vibe, friendly staff, lovely courtyard in the Town Mill Quarter, next to Malthouse Art gallery. The Volunteer, top of Broad Street, a classic spit and sawdust, old school pub where everyone is welcome.

The Seriously Good Wine Company

The Seriously Good Wine Company (mid high street), our fave independent wine shop, brimming with the best local, British & global wines & spirits. Ask about pairing a wine for your chosen recipe, they’ll nail it!

Best Pub Grub

The Royal Standard & The Harbour Inn

The Royal Standard: beachside + a great pint of prawns, The Harbour Inn: beachside with hearty & delicious daily specials, both are child friendly.

The Wet Fish Shop

The Wet Fish Shop (opposite the slipway at the harbour), Lyme Bay freshly caught fish. Ask to fillet or de-scale, they’ll get you sorted. We’ve got fully stocked kitchens & endless top chef recipe books to choose from!

Best Fresh Seafood for Holiday Home Cooking

The Whole Hog

The Whole Hog (bottom high street) is a lovely pop in, pop out shop offering delicious Monmouth coffee paired with some of the best doughnuts in the South West (we think!). A variety of wonderful flavours, they also offer homemade roast chicken or pork rolls, not one to be missed!

Lyme’s Fish Bar

Lyme’s Fish Bar family run, cracking batter and all the chip shop delights you need. Located on Coombe Street, opposite The Ship Inn (good to pop into when there’s a queue). Open all year.

Cibo Deli & Stores (top of high street), very friendly and happy to help with any queries, offering organic and locally grown fruit and veg, freshly baked sourdough, with a cheese counter celebrating the best local & British cheeses, olives & charcuterie.

Millie’s Ice Cream (Marine Parade), a local hotspot offering a wonderful choice of ice cream, hot drinks and pastries, we love the affogato option or a delicious hot chocolate in Winter.
