Located in the heart of Bridport the Museum hosts a world of interactive displays and captivating stories to showcase the towns unique history. From Jurassic discoveries to Roman treasure, there’s so many unique items on display. There’s plenty of family-friendly activities for all ages for a fun way to engage in local history.
Electric Palace
South Street
In 1926 the local brewing family J C & R H Palmer dipping into an exciting venture by building an opera house in the centre of Bridport and it has remained at the heart of the community ever since. Electric Palace now offers first-class film & live entertainment with a continuously updating ‘what’s on’ list - be sure to check it out!

St Michael’s Estate
A wonderful place to explore during your time in Bridport by browsing for fascinating finds, head to the St Michael’s Trading Estate and roam the old rope factory which is full of local businesses centred around vintage clothing, art & antiques. Livingstone Textiles is also worth a wander to find some wonderful fabrics.
Thorncombe Beacon
South West Coastal Path
As part of the wonderful south west coastal path, Thorncombe Beacon offers spectacular views across the Jurassic Coastline and out across the Lyme Bay. There’s a multitude of ways to reach this towering spot, but our favourite is the 7km loop from Seatown to Eype Mouth, there’s plenty of parking at the start and Eype Mouth is a popular spot for some mid-hike fossil hunting!

Looking for a place to entertain the whole family? Seal’s cove is an adventure-seekers paradise, from soft play to indoor climbing, it’s a thrilling & tiring day out for everyone! For the 5-17 years be sure to check out the Jurassic Ridge, a state of the art indoor climbing centre built by the same company that supplied the climbing walls at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

As part of the Seal’s Cove site, Viking Village is an epic spot for loads of exciting games, including: axe throwing, shuffleboard, cornhole, table football and many more! Perfect for a 1 v 1 or friendly family competition - they also serve food and have a well-stocked bar to keep you fuelled throughout your games.

A go-to-spot hidden in Bridport, Dorshi offers the best of Thai fusion for everyone, veggies and vegans too! The homemade dumplings are a fan favourite and the option to order small plates, dumplings or bowls gives you plenty of dishes to build the dinner of your dreams. 101 is a ‘if you know, you know’ restaurant tucked into the old trading estate in Bridport, it’s the place to go for a fresh & seasonal menu centred around good food. It’s run by two friends and former River Cottage colleagues, Joel and Andy, who have created a wonderful place for amazing food in a relaxing environment. They often host a monthly supper club, a delicious event with a personalised five course meal + desserts - one to definitely add to the calendar!

They have a wonderful variety of plates and their tapa’s is especially delightful, combine that with the welcoming and friendly Olive Tree team and you’re all set for the perfect dinner.

An instrumental spot for the foodie scene, Mercato Italiano is a family-run Italian deli and café. If you’re searching for exquisite cheeses, meats and wines the deli must be on your visit list! Whilst shopping for delights grab some fresh pasta or a Italian panini for lunch. If you time your visit well we recommend grabbing some home-made pizza. For an extra treat, explore their cocktail menu and relax in style on their mezzanine floor overlooking the restaurant below.
